MARKETING FASHION

Visual Communication module thought me a lot of useful skills especially in the field of digital visualization. In the second part of this course, I went through the Fashion Marketing Unit creating a brand report for Louis Vuitton using Photoshop and InDesign. These programmes seemed to me incredibly useful for making a marketing strategy document. Firstly I created a layout for the report using InDesign and then I began to fill it with information, graphs and images that I created and edited in Photoshop. I found this approach effective and timesaving as I have already worked with Photoshop before.

Another task was to create an original logo and brand identity for ‘Colour Box’ nails beauty salon which was extremely interesting for me. Trough InDesign the mood board for explaining style and a new logo was created. In addition, I quite often used Photoshop for making a logo and changing colours of the objects. It was also a good chance to test different fonts in order to find the most suitable for this brand. Moreover, I had an opportunity to work with the Wix platform for creating websites and portfolios very quickly and professionally at the same time.

It is also important to mention the way I was creating Louis Vuitton’s strategy communication tools using Photoshop and InDesign. By dint of mock ups, which were provided during the last class, I managed to create Indoor Advertising Poster very fast. All I had to do was to write my own promotional text and upload banner images and the advertisement is ready. Now I can say with confidence that this course through Photoshop and InDesign Apps taught me how to create layouts for reports, logo and styling for brands, various communication tools, mood boards, magazine covers and articles, which is incredibly useful for my future career.
